Wire and Cable for Baker-to-Vegas projects

The Power Harness is 12-gauge, red and black zip cord. The power splitters also use 18-gauge red and black zip cord. We also use 20- or 22-gauge red and black zip cord for TNC and GPS power connections. The TNC and radio interconnects use a 22-gauge, 6-conductor cable with a single conductor plus foil shield.

The Power Splitter Harness connectors used are what Molex(tm) calls their "standard series, 0.093" connector family. The MOLEX part numbers are;
03-09-2021 plug (male shell) and 03-09-1027 receptacle (female shell)
02-09-1119 female terminal (18-24 gauge) and 02-09-2118 male terminal (18-24 gauge)
02-09-1104 female terminal (14-20 gauge) and 02-09-2103 male terminal (14-20 gauge)
1545PRT is a package set, with parts for (3) complete sets of shells and terminals (18-24 gauge)
We use a 12-gauge, red & black 'zip cord' from the battery to the package.
We use a 18-gauge, red & black 'zip cord' in the splitter, and for the radio, TNC, GPS power.

The Radio-to-TNC Interconnect uses what MOLEX(tm) calls their "Miniature Series, 0.062" connector family. The MOLEX part numbers are;
03-06-2062 plug (male shell) and 03-06-1061 receptacle (female shell)
02-06-1103 female terminal (18-24 gauge) and 02-06-2103 male terminal (18-24 gauge)
1625-6PRT package set of (2) complete connectors
The cable we use is a six-conductor, 20-22 AWG foil-shielded cable.

How to get to the place...

The store front is a white building with blue awnings. The best access is from Post Street, directly across the street from the Dale's Hardware store parking lot. (See the map below.) There is also access through the parking lots of Mr. Corvette and the Bike Shop-formerly-known-as-F&M, but these can sometimes be congested with pedestrians and bicyclists.

Take your favorite route to get to Thornton Avenue in Fremont. Post Street is a short street, and it only goes to the south from Thornton Blvd. Post Street is located between Fremont Blvd. and Paseo Padre Parkway. As you are heading south on Post Street, watch for Dale's Hardware on the left, and then look for Minute Man on the right (shown as the colored box on the map).
