Job Description

The logistics team is a secret cabal bent on total world domination.

Well it only seems that way. The logistics function is covered in two parts.

Pre-Race and Post Race

The logs team monitors the logistics mail address and answers questions. They also receive and respond to the staffing forms you fill out.

The staffing forms are used to assign people to fill the jobs that need to be done, track peoples travel plans, help coordinate rooming needs and so on.

Post race the logs team will solicit any feedback you have for the race debrief, and coordinate a post race meeting to go over that feedback and allow us all to swap stories about the weird things that happened during the race. NOTE: typically everyone comes back with at least one weird story.

Race Time

During the race, there will be members of the logistics team staffing the logs room in Las Vegas. This room is always reserved under the name of Gil Marconi.

The people working logistics will need to check volunteers in and out for their shifts, monitor the various nets and simplex frequencies we use during the event, act as wake up call operators, answer the phones to respond to our PD teams questions and in general act as resource coordinators. These are the people that will try to get the volunteers to their assigned departure points on time, make sure they have what they need to be comfortable and successful for their shift, and get them back to their room afterwards.
